Our packaging recycling awareness campaign

As operators in the skincare and cosmetics industry, we know all too well just how many materials and packaging parts are used in the production process.

We also know how harmful these materials can be to the environment if not disposed of properly (i.e. recycled). It’s a real shame to know that completely recyclable packaging often ends up in landfill in a lot of cases.

Part of our corporate responsibility pledge is ensuring as minimal impact on the environment as possible, which is why we’ve always strived to use 100% recycled and recyclable materials across our entire brand portfolio whenever possible.

Additionally, we always clearly mark up our product packaging to let consumers know which of the contents can be thrown in the recycling bin and which parts cannot.

To further boost efforts towards recycling our used packaging, we’re happy to say that we’ve launched a recycling awareness campaign!

Partnering with four top skincare publishing outlets, WCG will be deploying banner ads and sponsored content across the month of June 2022 to a potential audience of 25 million people.

In this campaign, we’ll be aiming to let readers know that all WCG brand packaging is, in most cases, 100% recyclable and produced under conditions that aim to keep carbon immissions to an absolute minimum.

Gary Ward, WCG’s chief executive officer, said this about the campaign:

For us, looking after the planet and ensuring we do the right thing is non-negotiable. As a company, we’re always striving to negate our carbon impact, now we’re using our resources to drive awareness to help others do the same.

This will be the first of many campaigns WCG will launch to further drive home the critical importance of recycling empty packaging.

We’re looking forward to seeing the impact of our efforts, and encourage our customers who do recycle our brand packaging to use the hashtag #RecyclingForABetterFuture on social media so we can keep up-to-date with what’s going on.
